Seasonal Celebration

Thanks goes out to all of you who attended and supported the Seasonal Celebration program in August. We had 51 at the afternoon program and 23 at the evening program. I appreciate all you did to help promote the program, and a special thanks goes out to those of you who helped with the refreshments!

FCE Association Meeting

The next Association Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, September 5. We will meet at 10 a.m. at the Extension Office. This will be a very important meeting. There are several important items of business on the agenda. Please make sure your club is represented.

After the success we had with the 5 A Day programs in June, we decided to continue meeting on a monthly basis. Initially we had discussed meeting on the first Friday of every month, but due to scheduling conflicts, we have had to change to the second Friday. We will meet September 8, 12:10 to 12:50 at the Extension Office. Lunch will be served for four dollars. Participants will receive the recipes used during lunch, and we will have a special program, “Fashion Forecast for Fall.” I hope many of you will be able to attend. Most of the participation has been non-FCE members, so this is an excellent recruitment opportunity for our clubs

FCE State

We will be leaving for the FCE State Meeting, the week of September 11th in Odessa. This will be an exciting trip, as there are important decisions to be made regarding the future of our association. We will have a full report for you when we return!

County FCE Committees

We will be having our County FCE Committee Meetings September 19th. If you have been contacted and have agreed to serve on one of these committees, please make sure you have this date on your calendar. Your leadership in these areas is critical to the success and growth of the organization

Salsa Program

Most of the clubs have called and scheduled the salsa program for September or October, but there are still a few that I haven’t heard from. My calendar is filling up quickly, and I am required to meet with each club in the spring and in the fall, so give me a call if you haven’t scheduled your agent program yet.

Hutto Trunk Show

The Hutto FCE Club is hosting a special trunk show October 26th, 7:00 p.m., at the Hutto Lutheran Church. All FCE members are invited and encouraged to attend. The show will feature clothing and accessories from the Dallas clothing mart. There will be purses, jewelry, belts, and other fashions for you to view and purchase if you wish. It will be a fun night and will also offer another opportunity for fellowship within our organization. Feel free to invite your friends and family members as well.
