Association Meeting November 5th

I hope you will all consider attending our next Association Meeting, November 5th, 10:00 a.m., at the Extension Office. It will be a very special day. Your new county and club officers will be installed by former Extension Agent, Judy Adkins. We will also be taking care of some important business. We need to make sure all clubs have turned in their dues. Also, all clubs should turn in the Club Annual Report at this meeting. We will conclude the morning with a covered dish luncheon, so bring one of your favorite dishes!

Yearbooks are Ready

November marks the new EEA year, and we have your new yearbooks ready for distribution. We will be passing them out at the Association meeting. Katherine has done a great job putting these together!!! Be sure to thank her and tell her how nice they look! As always there will be some mistakes, but nothing we can’t correct or overlook. Remember to fill out a yearbook for your club and return it to the County Extension Office by December 1st.

Thank you Style Show Committee

What a wonderful day we had on October 26th. Our first annual style show and luncheon went off without a hitch. Special thanks to the committee that was willing to take on this challenge! We will report on the funds raised through the style show at the Association meeting and make recommendations for next year.

Make sure you put November 9th on your calendar as our next Lunch & Learn Program. The Morning Glory Club will be providing a wonderful meal! The program will be, “Ten Tips for Interior Design”. I hope you will be able to make it. Remember to call or e-mail me to pre-register by Tuesday, November 6th.

Awards & Christmas Dinner

The Annual Awards and Christmas Dinner will be here before we know it! It will be held December 4th, at 7:00 p.m., at the County Extension Office. Assignments for the event are as follows:

Decorations - New Horizons
Registration - Friendship
Christmas Box - Hutto
Coffee, Tea, and Ice - Noontime
Program - Heritage
Food Arrangement - Jonah, Hill Country, Sundowners, Florence
Greeters - Morning Glory
Clean Up - All Clubs

Get this very special event on your calendar! This is the perfect time for us to all get together, share in the successes of our Association, and celebrate the season. Remember that spouses and guests are welcomed and encouraged to attend.

Fall Training Meeting

The District EEA Fall Training meeting will be held in Corsicana, November 29th. Your county Association officers will be representing you at this event. Hopefully it will be a fun and educational day and your county Association officers will get lots of good information!!

Leader Training Extravaganza

Mark January 8th on your calendars. We will have our Leader Training Extravaganza, as well as Association meeting on that day. In your next newsletter, you will receive a schedule for the day. Help your club out by volunteering to attend one of the leader training sessions. They are all listed in your new yearbook that you will get at your November club meeting.
